Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!
Year 2008 is about to end and the last days of the year has never been that good. For all we know, the current crisis in the economy has shocked the entire globe and others even went panicking as to what to do to overcome the situation. Even the White House under the Bush administration is still finding ways on how to solve the problem and Barack Obama fears that this recession might go into a depression as some economic experts have predicted if not given the correct solution. Well, that's with the macroscopic environment that we are dealing with. But what about us? Should we do something about it? Or just let the government do something on our behalf?
The Beginning
One day, when I was sitting at the backseat in a cab, I was thinking about my way of spending my money this year. After two and a half years of working I haven't got a savings account or just savings, yet. Blame it on the way I spent, I don't know. For all I know, I just spend, spend and spend without thinking that the money I have could run out before I can get my next paycheck.
So what about the "Price Tag @ 99" thingy?
Here in the Philippines, anything like clothes, apparels, fashion, services and others that come with a price tag of 99 pesos seem to be inexpensive but not necessarily (it's like roughly $2). So here's the challenge: buy everything that I ONLY NEED and INEXPENSIVE this 2009. Track all the expenses DAILY and find out if I have savings that should not go below Php8,000 a month.
Can I do it? Hmmm... if it seems that we share the same problem so lucky us. Let's take the challenge. Why not?
